FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and the ability to troubleshoot and repair fireplaces, gas lanterns and grills. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting directly with clients to ensure their needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
Work Location: In person

Duties

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot natural gas system components.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and identify issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service needs and updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic fireplace installation and construction projects.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
  • Familiarity with natural gas systems maintenance.
  • Excellent command of English for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as required. Company transportation provided, work vans/trucks.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 5 days, Mon.-Sat. 10 am – 6pm. Sunday 12pm – 5pm (Sales Professionals get two days off M-F, Saturday and Sunday are required.)
Compensation: Salary + Commission ($30,000 – $40,000 base) offering uncapped competitive earnings potential.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Two years of customer service, sales and retail experience.
  • Proven track record in closing sales.
  • Strong business development/sales, and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated customer support or client service background.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Ability to learn our POS system
  • Team player with an interest in personal growth.
  • Coachable and willing to learn.
